Causative agent:

Newcastle disease is caused by viruses in the serotype avian paramyxovirus type 1 (APMV-1), also called Newcastle disease viruses (NDV). The viruses are members of the genus Avulavirus in the family Paramyxoviridae.

How to spot Newcastle disease:

• Respiratory distress such as gaping beak, coughing, sneezing, gurgling, rattling.
• Nervous signs characterized by tremors and paralysis and twisting of the neck.
• Unusually watery faces (diarrhea) that is yellowish-green in color.
• Depression
• Lack of appetite

Immunity to Newcastle disease virus:

Chickens that survive infection with virulent Newcastle disease virus develop a long lasting immunity to further infection with Newcastle disease virus.
The basis of this immunity is:

1. Circulating antibodies.
2. Secreted antibody producing mucosal immunity.
3. Cell mediated immunity.

PREVENTION METHOD:

100ml : 100L water daily, twice a day for 7 days

TREATMENT METHOD:

CND Plus Oral Solution 100 ml : 50L water daily, twice a day for 7 days. For control Secondary bacterial infections can use Levofloxacin+ Norfloxacin combination medicine to ensure better performance.
